Christophe Goossens is a lawyer specialising in tax law, recognised for his in-depth expertise in both national

and international taxation. He joined malherbe in 2024, after having headed the tax department of an

international law firm, of which he also founded the tax department in Luxembourg.


With more than twenty-five years’ experience, Christophe Goossens advises and assists a diverse clientele –

companies, international groups, executives and individuals – in matters such as tax planning, corporate

restructuring, corporate and personal taxation, as well as litigation procedures in tax law and in the law of

professional liability of tax advisors. He has particular expertise in international tax law.


He has successfully completed the training in technical and cassation procedures organized by the Bar

Association at the Court of Cassation and intervenes in tax matters in proceedings before the Cour of Cassation.


In addition to his work as a lawyer, Christophe Goossens teaches international and European tax law at the

ICHEC and the Ecole supérieure des sciences fiscales.


He graduated in law from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 1996 (magna cum laude) and then obtained

a Diploma of Specialised Studies (DES) in tax law at the same university (1999, summa cum laude).


He is the author of numerous publications on tax law.


He speaks French and English and has a professional knowledge of Dutch.
